Our Story

Passion. Craft.
Community.

Osteria Vivo opened in July 2021, born from a simple belief: that truly great Italian cooking deserves a home on the South Shore. Veteran restaurateurs Joanie Wilson and Jimmy Burke—who came out of retirement during COVID to follow their passion—bring decades of experience behind the concept, having previously helmed Riva in Scituate, Orta in Pembroke, and the beloved Vivo in Bridgeton, Maine.

At the stove, Executive Chef Douglas Rodrigues (a Scituate native who honed his craft at Boston's Clio, Liquid Art House, and Aquitaine) transforms seasonal, off-the-beaten-path ingredients into pastas and plates that feel simultaneously familiar and surprising.

Step inside and you'll find pistachio green walls, a wall-sized photograph of Florence's Ponte Vecchio, and a bar where bartender Sylvain Linozzi pours an espresso martini worth the drive from anywhere.
